Christmas is coming to Redlands Coast, bringing plenty of holiday cheer for everyone. From spectacular lighting displays and creative activities to family-friendly experiences, we’re preparing a trail of activities to make your Christmas special.

Council Christmas programs and activities

Get ready for a festive season full of fun and creativity across Redland City Council locations! From our libraries, Redland Performing Arts Centre and Redland Art Gallery to the Redlands IndigiScapes Centre, there will be plenty of exciting activities and experiences to enjoy this Christmas. Whether you love crafty workshops, inspiring art, or exploring the natural world, there’s something for everyone to look forward to. See the Redland City Council what’s on calendar.

Council supported Christmas events

Redland City Council is proud to again be supporting community events, including:

Christmas in the Park at Mount Cotton Community Park, from 3.30 - 7.30pm, on 30 November,
Christmas on the Field at Alexandra Hills Australian Football Club, from 5 - 8pm, on 6 December, and
Bells in the Bayside at Capalaba Football Club, from 4 - 8pm, on 13 December.

Christmas Hub featuring Santa's hotline

Visit the new Redlands Coast Visitor Information Centre at 50 Middle Street, Cleveland! From Friday 28 November 2025 to Christmas Eve stop by to meet the team, grab a copy of our Christmas program, and even make a special call to Santa from our Santa phone booth.

Step into our festive phone booth that connects you straight to Santa. Pick up the phone, and Santa's warm voice will fill you with holiday cheer! Leave him a message with your wishes, dreams, and even brag a little about all the good deeds you've done this year.

Christmas lighting displays

Get into the Christmas spirit by visiting our festive locations, showcasing stunning Christmas light displays. These magical spots are lit up nightly, perfect for families to enjoy or snap a festive family photo.

From 28 November until the New Year:

Raby Bay Harbour Park (Festoons and tree lights) from 5.30pm to 10.30pm
Wellington Point Village Green (Giant present) from 5.30pm to 10pm
Cleveland Point (Giant 2D star) from 5.30pm to 10.30pm
Capalaba Youth Plaza (Giant 2D Christmas tree) from 5.30pm to 11pm
Stradbroke Street, Redland Bay (Poincianas will be lit up) from 6pm to 10pm

FREE Christmas carousel at Raby Bay Harbour Park

Step into the magic of the season with a free Christmas carousel, proudly presented by Redland City Council and generously sponsored by Raby Bay Harbour.

Bring the whole family to Raby Bay Harbour Park and enjoy the magic and wonder of this enchanting ride – perfect for creating unforgettable holiday memories.

Christmas augmented reality experience

From 28 November until the New Year:

Visit Cleveland Point for a special augmented reality adventure where Santa himself strolls around the lighthouse. Snap a photo, share a smile, and enjoy a joyful blend of technology and holiday cheer—fun for all ages! Due to lighting this experience works best during daylight hours.

Christmas Colouring-in Competition

Enter the Christmas colouring-in competition from 14 November to 24 December. Collect and mail your entries at one of five Santa Mailboxes throughout the city:
