Services include:

  • Connect businesses and investors with relevant Council service areas, key agencies, networks, and stakeholders to foster collaboration and access to support.
  • Refer businesses to tailored programs and initiatives, including mentoring, financial counselling, wellness support, and workforce development opportunities.
  • Provide guidance on navigating government processes, including tendering, supplying to government, and understanding key policies and strategies.
  • Share information on available resources, such as grants, financial assistance, workshops, and events to support business growth and capability building.
  • Support market understanding by offering insights into local and regional dynamics that inform strategic decision-making.

Workshops and events

Redlands Small Business Hub

Council is partnering with the State Government to provide tailored one-on-one businesses support for people seeking support to navigate business challenges or to grow their business. Register now for a free 30-minute consultation with the Business Concierge representative for Redland City from the Department of Customers Service, Open Data and Small and Family Business.

In person appointments - These 30-minute meetings take place on the third Thursday of each month between 10am and 2pm at the Cleveland Library meeting room, corner Bloomfield and Middle Streets, Cleveland. Go to the calendar to book an appointment.

Mentoring for Growth Program

The Queensland Government’s Mentoring for Growth program (M4G) offers eligible businesses free access to volunteer business experts who provide insights, options and suggestions relating to challenges and opportunities experienced in their business.

Council has worked in partnership with the Queensland Government to bring this initiative to the Redlands Coast. Local businesses can benefit from a confidential free one-hour face-to-face session with a matched business expert who can give you information, tips and resources to help grow your business. 

In person appointments - These one-hour sessions take place on the third Thursday of each month between 10am and 2pm at the Cleveland Library meeting room, Corner Bloomfield and Middle Streets, Cleveland. Register your interest through the M4G Registration Form.

Industry Workforce Advisors Program

The Queensland Government Industry Workforce Advisors program aims to provide workforce planning assistance to employers in small and medium sized businesses, enabling them to address workforce challenges, diversify their workforces, and support workforce growth. Contact the advisors directly.

Digital Solutions Program

The Digital Solutions program helps support small businesses to harness opportunities and grow in the digital economy with access to one-on-one digital advice from a qualified and experienced business adviser for a small fee. There is also access to free workshops, webinar presentations and self-directed tutorials.
