Onboarding and Eftsure Pty Ltd
If you are successful in securing supply of goods or services to Redland City Council (RCC), you may be invited to onboard into our financial system.
RCC has partnered with Eftsure, an Australian-owned business offering supplier/payee onboarding and business-to-business (B2B) payment protection software to mitigate the risk of payment error, fraud and cyber-crime through its secure software platform.
The threat of cyber and financial fraud is a serious risk to everyday B2B transactions. It is a risk to which RCC takes a zero-tolerance approach. Our approach to supplier/payee onboarding, change management and payment verification not only protects RCC but also protects our suppliers/payees by preventing unauthorised, fraudulent and falsified changes and misuse of business and banking information.
Eftsure validates company or organisation names, ABN, GST registration status and bank account details in real time, thereby ensuring payments are made to the intended recipient.
This system strengthens RCC’s internal control processes, protects supplier information from unauthorised access, and assists us to make payment to the intended recipients with confidence.
To enable these protections, our suppliers/payees are required to onboard with RCC by providing business information via the secure Eftsure portal for independent verification before conducting business with and receiving payment from us.
Suppliers who conduct business with RCC should expect to receive an email from Eftsure, inviting them to onboard and/or update their details online and may receive a subsequent phone call from the Eftsure team to conduct third-party, independent verification of the details being submitted.
