Some Council services and facilities will be closed for the public holiday on Monday 5 October. Bin collections will operate as normal. Recycling and Waste Centres, the Redland Animal Shelter and Visitor Information Centre will remain open.

They are managed by the state rather than Council because their primary purpose is to support broader regional and intercity travel, which requires coordinated planning, funding, and maintenance at a higher government level to ensure consistency and efficiency across a larger geographical area.
