Redland City Plan

Our current Redland City Plan 2018 outlines a strategic plan for Redlands Coast and includes rules that guide new development towards ultimately achieving that strategic plan. The City Plan is formed through studies and investigations that look at population growth and demographics, economic factors, the supply of residential, commercial and industrial land, risks to development from natural hazards such as floods and bushfire, areas of environmental habitat, and many other key inputs. It is tested and refined through review by the Queensland government and feedback from the community.

The City Plan commenced on 8 October 2018, but is a living document that needs to be updated to reflect changing circumstances. Several amendments have been made over time to respond to policy and legislation changes and address opportunities and challenges. While the current Redland City Plan 2018 will remain in effect, Council has commenced preparing a new Redlands Coast City Plan.
