Julie Talty lives in Division 6, Redland City. Julie’s family have lived in the Redlands for many years, and she is pleased to have the opportunity to continue a family legacy of service to the community.

Having a dedicated interest in local and community issues, Julie is involved with many community and sporting organisations. Julie has been councillor for Division 6 since 2012.

Julie brings a depth of experience to the role of councillor through professional qualifications and performance.  Having worked locally as a teacher Julie has a special interest in education and youth related issues in the Redlands.

Julie brings a broad life experience to the role of councillor having owned and operated small businesses and having also worked for large corporate entities in publishing.  This is also enriched by her trade qualifications, and being a wife and mother.  Julie is involved in many community organisations.

Having grown up in the Redlands Julie is dedicated to ensuring a continuance of those qualities of lifestyle and community that have made Redland such a desirable place to live and raise a family.
