We are currently upgrading a number of roads, car parks, parks, footpaths, marine works, cycle ways, and intersections across the Redlands that have been identified as improvements under our current budget.

City Operations

Russell Island - Fire and Fuel reduction track installation and maintenance - Various sites throughout Russell Island
RCC Conservation Unit will be undertaking works in bushland areas on Russell Island, including works to maintain existing fuel reduction zones, & to establish new fuel reduction zones. - No Road Closure. This work is planned to commence Monday 22 October 2018 and to be completed by Friday 14 December 2018 between the hours of 7.00am and 4.00pm (weather permitting).

Projects

Alexandra Hills - PDG-43007-3 - Netball Court Renewal-Keith Surridge Park, Alexandra Hills
Redland City Council Contractors will be undertaking renewal of 2 netball courts with associated lighting and electrical works Works commence 4/9/18 with completion due 14/12/18 (weather permitting)
Alexandra Hills - PDG-43613 - Shelter, Table & Tap – Heffernan Road Park, Alexandra Hills
Redland City Council Internal Crews and Contractors will be upgrading Heffernan Road Park, Alexandra Hills. These works will involve the installation of reinforced concrete, shelter, table setting, tap, turf and associated works.
Alexandra Hills - PDG-44757-1 - Park Renewal - David Parr Park, Alexandra Hills
Redland City Council contractors will be undertaking a playground renewal at David Parr Park, Alexandra Hills. This will include installation of play equipment, shelter, multipurpose court, park furniture, tap and concrete pathway. Works will commence 25/10/2018 with completion by 21/12/2018 (weather permitting).
Birkdale - PDG-20679-1 - Playground Upgrade – Judy Holt Sportsfield, Birkdale
Redland City Council Internal Construction Crews and Contractors will be upgrading the playground at Judy Holt Sportsfield, Birkdale. These works will involve the installation of primary play unit, rubber softfall, shade structure, sandstone blocks and associated works.
Cleveland - PDG-20670 - Install Park Equipment & Landscaping - Raby Bay Boulevard Park, Cleveland
Redland City Council Internal Construction Crews and Contractors will be upgrading the Raby Bay Boulevard Park, Cleveland. These works will involve demolishing and reconstructing footpath, installing new seating, relocating existing seating, landscaping, outdoor shower installation and associated works.
Cleveland - PDG-43608 - Bike Rack & Bubbler – Raby Bay Foreshore, Cleveland
Redland City Council Internal Construction Crews and Contractors will be upgrading the Raby Bay Foreshore Park, Cleveland. These works will involve the installation of a reinforced concrete slab, drinking fountain, bike rack and associated works.
Redland Bay - PDG-20677-1 - Playground Expansion – Denham Boulevard Park, Redland Bay
Redland City Council Internal Construction Crews and Contractors will be upgrading the Denham Boulevard Park, Redland Bay. These works will involve the installation of a rope spinner, large basket swing, rubber softfall and associated works.
Redland Bay - PDG-40556 - Road Upgrade - Collins Street and School of Arts Road, Redland Bay
Redland City Council’s Construction Unit and Contractors will be upgrading School of Arts Road and Collins Street between Queen Street and Penzance Drive, Redland Bay. These road upgrades will involve, but not limited to; full road reconstruction and realignment, construction of concrete pathways, and traffic islands, installation of kerb and channel, line marking and signage, and the relocation of existing essential service infrastructure such as water, sewer, NBN and Telstra.
Russell Island - PDG-43611 - Pavement and Seating – Canaipa Point Park, Russell Island
Redland City Council Internal Construction Crews and Contractors will be upgrading Caniapa Point Park, Russell Island. These works will involve installing a reinforced concrete slab, Aria mix and match bench seat, turf and associated works.
Russell Island - PDG-80920-1 - SMBI Green Seal Program – Russell Island
Redland City Council Internal Construction Crews and Contractors will be upgrading various streets on Russell Island. These works will involve the installation of gravel pavement and the installation of two coat bitumen seal. Thorneside - PDG-43254 - Intersection Upgrade - Railway Parade & Ferry Road, Thorneside
Redland City Council internal crews and external contractors will be upgrading the intersection with associated works at the intersection of Railway Parade, Ferry Road & Thorneside Road.
Thornlands - PDG-43629 - MBC Pinklands Priority – Redland Bay Road, Thornlands
Redland City Council Internal Construction Crews and Contractors will be upgrading the cycleway crossing at the southern entrance to the Pinklands Sporting Complex, Thornlands. These works will involve the installation of a raised concrete crossing point, tree trimming and the installation of line marking and signage.
Thornlands - PDG-44746 - South East Thornlands – Community Park Upgrade – Stage 1
Redland City Council Internal Construction Crews and Contractors will be upgrading the park at 270-282 Redland Bay Road, Thornlands. These works will involve construction of a formalized carpark, drainage upgrades, some tree removal and replanting, new public amenities and associated works.
Victoria Point - PDG-20623 - Yeo Park Upgrade, Victoria Point
Redland City Council Contractors will be installing playground fencing, a pathway and associated works.
Wellington Point - PDG-20633-3 - Village Green Upgrade, Wellington Point
Redland City Council contractors will be undertaking an upgrade to Village Green, Wellington Point. This will include the installation of shelters, storage shed, dance floor, water tank, playground equipment and landscaping. Works will commence 05/11/2018 with completion by 21/12/2018 (weather permitting).
Wellington Point - PDG-40089-2 - Main Road Streetscape Upgrade, Wellington Point
Redland City Council contractors will be undertaking an upgrade to the Streetscape at Wellington Point between Birkdale Road and Christina Street. This will include the installation of new seating, table settings, bins, shelter, entry sign, dugong play structure and landscaping. Works will commence 05/11/2018 with completion by 21/12/2018 (weather permitting).
Wellington Point - PDG-42947 - Road & Drainage Works - Main Road, Wellington Point
Redland City Council Internal Construction Crews and Contractors will be upgrading road and drainage on Main Road, Wellington Point between Duncan Street and Plumer Street. These works will involve drainage, bitumen, pavement, kerb & channel and associated works.
Wellington Point - PDG-43235 - Shade Sail – Goodall Street Park, Wellington Point
Redland City Council Internal Construction Crews and Contractors will be upgrading Goodall Street Park, Wellington Point. These works will involve the extension of shade sail and associated works.
