Wildlife solutions

Many of us live in the Redlands Coast for its natural environment and unique wildlife.

Although living in close proximity to these animals can have some challenges, wildlife play an important role in maintaining healthy ecosystems, including in urban areas. They deserve to have a place to call home and we need to try to find a way to live together.

Wildlife removal

The Council does not provide animal removal services for wildlife on private property. Wildlife are protected under the Nature Conservation Act 1992, and removal of animals from their habitat is only allowed under strict conditions. Contractors must be licensed to offer this paid service and require a Damage Mitigation Permit from the Department of Environment and Science.
