
Redlands Coast Seniors Month Funding
Seniors Month is an annual Queensland wide celebration in October that aims to promote social connections within the community.
The month-long celebration is valued on Redlands Coast as an opportunity to promote positive ageing and to enable participation in community led events and activities.
Council is proud to offer funding to help our community celebrate and participate in Seniors Month on Redlands Coast.
Available funding
Not-for-profit organisations can apply for $500 up to $2,000 from Saturday 20 May until Sunday 18 June 2023, 5pm. The total pool of funding is $8,000.
Program aims
The program aims to provide opportunities for older residents to connect with each other and the community by funding free community-based events and activities. The program is aimed at culturally inclusive, intergenerational or lifestyle events/activities.

Redlands Coast Age-friendly Action Plan
Redland City Council is committed to supporting our residents to age well. The Redlands Coast Age-friendly Action Plan 2021-2026 is a five-year action plan based on the World Health Organisation's Age-friendly cities model. This plan provides a way forward for Council, the community and the Government to work together to ensure that ageing on Redlands Coast is a positive experience, and people of all ages are valued and can live active fulfilling lives.
