COVID-19 UPDATE
In response to the emerging COVID-19 outbreak Council strongly encourages you to lodge any development application material electronically, either via Council's Online Lodgement System (OLS) or via email to DAmailbox@redland.qld.gov.au. Please be aware that Council has initiated a 3 day quarantine period for all documents received from outside of Council. Therefore if you choose to lodge your application material over the counter or via mail, this will affect your application timeframes.
Temporary Local Planning Instruments (TLPIs)
There are currently two (2) TLPIs affecting the operation of the Redland City Plan. The TLPIs are as follows:
- TLPI No.2 of 2020 (Quandamooka Land Aspirations Area); and
- TLPI 01/21 (Protection of Local Heritage Places).
For further information, please read Temporary Local Planning Instruments page.

If you are considering a patio, shed or other building project or considering developing a site for a new use, such as a shopping centre, commercial offices, residential apartments or land subdivision, you may need building, plumbing and/or planning approval.
