About Council meetings

⚠️ Coronavirus (COVID-19) update

Due to the current COVID-19 situation in Queensland, Council will exercise the provisions under Chapter 8 - Part 2, Division 4 of the Local Government Regulation 2012, which allows for some or all Councillors to attend Statutory Meetings of Council by audio visual arrangements to minimise serious risks to the health and safety of persons caused by the public health emergency involving COVID-19.

Statutory Meetings of Council will be closed to the public and public participation will be suspended until further notice.

The audio/video of each Statutory Meeting of Council will be available on Council’s website as soon as possible after the conclusion of each meeting.

Public participation

To keep our community and workforce safe, Public Participation is temporarily paused until further notice due to the current COVID-19 situation and subsequent Local Government Regulation 2012 provisions.

All applications for public participation are required to be submitted online Public Participation Application Form.

Council allocates 15 minutes for public participation. This allows three attendees, each allocated no more than five minutes. Priority will be given to those applicants who wish to speak to a matter that is on the agenda for the relevant General Meeting.

Please note, public participation provisions may be subject to change at any time, based on the most current Queensland Health advice or Chief Health Officer Directions
