Public gallery

The public gallery for Statutory Meetings of Council will reopen from May 2022. Due to space limitations in Council’s Chamber, the public gallery seating (12 seats) is available in a meeting room next to the Chamber (with full audio/video viewing). As seats are limited, bookings are essential.

To book a seat in the public gallery to observe a Statutory Meeting of Council or to apply for Public Participation to address Council complete the Public Gallery and Participation Application form.

The audio/video of each Statutory Meeting of Council will be available on Council’s website as soon as possible after the conclusion of each meeting.

Public participation

All applications for public participation are required to be submitted online through the Public Gallery and Participation Application form.

Council allocates 15 minutes for public participation. This allows three attendees, each allocated no more than five minutes. 

Priority will be given to those applicants who wish to speak to a matter that is on the agenda for the relevant General Meeting.
