Christmas on the Coast 2020
Thank you for celebrating the festive season on Redlands Coast with us at Christmas on the Coast 2020!
Hosted by Redland City Council, Christmas on the Coast combined the annual lighting of the city’s Christmas tree and our community carols events into a five-day ticketed celebration from Wednesday 16 December to Sunday 20 December at Cleveland’s Raby Bay Harbour Park.
Raby Bay Harbour Park was abuzz with locals and visitors alike enjoying a spectacular wonderland of festive cheer, with nearly 7000 people attending the COVID-safe event. Attendance was capped at 1500 people per night.
Christmas on the Coast featured live stage entertainment from more than 50 local artists, children’s rides and family activities, the lighting of the tree, Christmas movies in the park and a boutique Christmas market complete with nearly 60 stallholders and food vendors.
Popular attractions included a traditional carousel, inflatable jumping castles and socially-distanced photos with Santa.
All five days of Christmas on the Coast were a great opportunity to ‘support local’, while also employing local performing artists and helping our traders and suppliers, many of whom have had a very tough year.
Proceeds raised from ticket sales will go to Domestic and Family Violence Support Services, as well as community groups that assisted at the event including Rotary Club of Cleveland, Birkdale Scout Group and Community Connections.
