Yura.  Welcome to Minjerribah (North Stradbroke Island)

Please help keep it naturally wonderful by recycling right.

Your bin day is every Monday which means bin/s go out on Sunday night or before 6am on Monday morning.

Don't forget - if the bin isn't out we are unable to offer a return service.

Visit Council's online bin day calendar to check which fortnight your recycle bin is collected.

Recycle right by only recycling these items:Recycle bin

  • Aluminium and steel cans and clean kitchen foil
  • Cardboard such as pizza boxes (remove food scraps)
  • Glass bottles and jars (lids on)
  • Newspapers and magazines
  • Hard plastic such as milk containers; shampoo and conditioner bottles and plastic take away food containers

Please do not bag your recycling -  place items loosely in the recycle bin.  Nappies, polystyrene and food waste also don't belong in your recycle bin.

Items that can't fit in your recycle bin can be taken to the local Recycling and Waste Centre on East Coast Road, Myora for free.  For opening hours visit Council's Recycling and Waste Centres opening hours and locations.

Enjoy your stay.  Please recycle right on North Stradbroke Island.
