Upcoming maintenance works - Wednesday 29 July (weather and site works permitting)
Birkdale Recycling and Waste Centre will be partially closed for essential works and maintenance on Wednesday 29 July. The top area at the site will be closed for:
- Asbestos, Cement Sheeting and all suspected asbestos
- Bricks and Concrete
- Cardboard
- Clean Soil
- E-waste
- Gas bottles, Lead Acid Batteries
- Green waste
- Scrap metal
- Timber
- Tyres
The following material is still accepted: Landfill (mixed waste) and Oil (motor and cooking).
We kindly ask that visitors either use the facility on an alternative day or visit the Redland Bay Waste and Recycling Centre (761-789 German Church Road, Redland Bay) during this period.
