City Operations
- - Paperbark Removal and Replacement Program - Various Locations across Redland City Council areas
- RCC contractor will complete Paperbark removal and replacements. Affected residents and neighbors will receive a notification one week prior. Work (removal, stump grinding, and replanting if needed) will take 48 hours per location. Locations attached. - No Road Closure raffic Control and/or advisory signs will be placed in locations where traffic may be impacted.. This work is planned to commence Thursday 1 May 2025 and to be completed by Thursday 31 July 2025 between the hours of 7:00 AM and 3.30 PM (weather permitting).
- - Roadside Vegetation Pruning and Clearing - Various Suburbs - Springacre Road Thornlands, Kingfisher Road Mount Cotton, Double Jump Road Mount Cotton, Bunker Road Victoria Point, Heinemann Road Mount Cotton
- Roadside vegetation pruning and clearing works at various locations across Redland City Council. The works are expected to take approximately four weeks, depending on weather and site conditions. - No Road Closure Traffic Control and/or advisory signs will be placed in locations where traffic may be impacted.. This work is planned to commence Wednesday 11 June 2025 and to be completed by Wednesday 9 July 2025 between the hours of 7:00 AM and 4:00 PM (weather permitting).
- Coochiemudlo Island - Coochiemudlo Island Access track and overland scour rectifications - Coochiemudlo Island
- Various locations require rectification for safe use of open space and access to foreshores as a result of TC Alfred - No Road Closure N/A. This work is planned to commence Friday 20 June 2025 and to be completed by Monday 30 June 2025 between the hours of 7:00 AM and 05:00 PM (weather permitting).
- Redland Bay - Drainage repairs adjacent to Sel Outridge Park, Redland Bay - Peel Street
- The Roads, Drainage and Marine Team is adjusting the invert levels of pipes and reshaping the table drain to allow pooling water to disperse through the hydraulic system out to the bay. - No Road Closure. This work is planned to commence Friday 20 June 2025 and to be completed by Thursday 10 July 2025 between the hours of 7:00 AM and 5.30 PM (weather permitting).
City Infrastructure
- Victoria Point - Sewer Main Extension/Connection - Carnoustie Court,
- City Water Contractors are undertaking sewer works to connect a new subdivision, with works expected to take 4 weeks to complete, weather permitting. - Full Road Closure Daytime road closure with traffic control in place. These works are planned to occur between the hours of 6.30 am and 5.00 pm, commencing on Tuesday 4 June 2024 and completed by Friday 28 June 2024, weather permitting.

- Alexandra Hills - PDG-64008-1 - Switchboard Pump Stations – SPS 008 McDonald Road, Alexandra Hills
- Description of Works: Redland City Council Contractors will be completing the construction and installation of the SPS008 switchboard and associated works. Timeline: 19 May 2025 through to 31 July 2025, 7.00am to 5.00pm. This completion date may change over the course of the project due to wet weather and resultant poor site conditions.
- Birkdale - PDG-55092-5 - Judy Holt Park Northern Remediation Project
- Judy Holt Park Birkdale is a closed landfill site. To maintain adherence to stringent environmental laws, critical remediation works are to be carried out to protect the surrounding environment. This will include recapping old landfill beneath the park’s rugby union fields to prevent leachate breakouts, potentially affecting the environment. The works will also deliver improved playing surfaces, an extra playing field and provide better, higher-capacity sports facilities and a much-improved public open space. Expected Start Date - 17/02/2025 Expected Finish Date - 26/09/2026 (weather & site conditions permitting).
- Birkdale - PDG-44887-1 - Footpath Renewal to Aquatic Paradise Park West, Birkdale
- Redland City Council Contractors will be undertaking the installation of new sections of concrete footpath, removal of sections of existing asphalt footpath, turf to disturbed areas and associated works. Expected Start Date - 14/07/2025 Expected Finish Date - 28/08/2025 (weather & site conditions permitting)
- Birkdale - PDG-30695 - Mary Pleasant Drive, Birkdale - Pedestrian Safety Fencing
- Benefits: The works will improve public safety by restricting access to this area, provide clear pedestrian pathways, and support ongoing site maintenance with designated access points. Description of Works: Redland City Council contractors have been engaged to install 1.8m high safety pedestrian fencing to the site. The works will involve trimming and removing shrubs or trees as required for post installation, along with the construction of a concrete maintenance strip beneath the fence. The project also includes the installation of both double swing and single gates to allow for maintenance access. Timeline: Monday 23 June 2025 through to Thursday 31st July 2025, 7.00am to 5.00pm. This completion date may change over the course of the project due to wet weather and resultant poor site conditions.
- Cap - PDG-43694-1 - Pathway Lighting – Holland Crescent to Shopping Centre
- Redland City Council Contractors will be undertaking the installation of footpath lighting, including 5 poles, new pits, a main switchboard, turf to disturbed areas and associated works. Expected Start Date - 31/03/2025 Expected Finish Date - 15/08/2025 (weather & site conditions permitting)
- Capalaba - PDG-44144-1 - Footpath Expansion – Spirit Drive, Capalaba
- Redland City Council Contractors will be installing new sections of footpath; replacing existing kerb ramps; removing selected trees; installing turf to disturbed areas; and associated works. Expected Start Date - 20/06/2025 Expected Finsih Date - 20/07/2025
- Cleveland - PDG-20276-4 - Redlands Performing Arts Centre (RPAC) Forecourt Construction
- Redland City Council Contractors will - • Demolish and remove the existing forecourt roofs; • Retain and protect the existing feature trees on the RPAC footpath; • Construct: o New Stairs, ramps and access points, o Reconfiguration of the pedestrian access to the main buildings including associated civil and landscaping works; o Awning and trellis construction; o Alfresco deck and seating; o Lighting upgrading; o Stormwater drainage treatment; o Electrical upgrade; and o Signage. Expected Start Date: 02/12/2024 Expected Finish Date: 02/08/2025 (Weather and site conditions permitting)
- Cleveland - PDG-63038-2 - Switchboard Renewal Upgrades - SPS141 South Street, Cleveland
- Description of Works: Redland City Council Contractors will be designing, constructing and installing a new switchboard, new disconnect box, new odour control unit including new vent pole, new concrete slabs, wider driveway, new fencing, bollards & gates, new stormwater pits (site drainage), and new antenna pole. Timeline: 10th February through to 25th July 2025, 7.00am to 6.00pm. This completion date may change over the course of the project due to wet weather and resultant poor site conditions. Should the date move further than 1 week from the above proposal an updated Notification will be issued.
- Cleveland - PDG-46687 - Revetment Wall Remediation – Anchorage Drive Cleveland
- Redland City Council Contractors will remediate the revetment wall using a combination of rebuilding one section (including installation of raked and vertical wall piles) and underpinning the other section (including installation of vertical piles and underpinning head stocks). The batter will also be stabilised by way of installation of screw piles. The Contractors shall utilise Bligh Canal Park 44 Anchorage Drive, Cleveland as a laydown area allowing waterfront access. Expected start date 3 March 2025. Expected finish date 6 June 2025 (weather and site conditions permitting).
- Cleveland - PDG-44219-1 - Electrical Upgrade – Raby Bay Foreshore Park, Cleveland
- Redland City Council contractors will be installing a weatherproof electrical power supply box with GPO outlets for use by commercial operators and associated works. Expected Start Date - 16/06/2025 Expected Finish Date - 30/07/2025 (weather & site conditions permitting)
- Cleveland - PDG-20820-1 - Gate Restoration - Norm Price Park, Redlands Showground, Cleveland
- Redland City Council Contractors will be restoring the Norm Price Park entrance gate with a new panel, planting, turf to disturbed areas and associated works. Expected Start Date - 10/07/2025 Expected Finish Date - 23/07/2025 (weather & site conditions permitting)
- Cleveland (Multiple Locations) - PDG-70084-5 - Raby Bay Rock Armour Replacement FY24/25
- Redland City Council Contractors will be conducting rock armour replacement, and replenishment to the rock wall in various locations throughout the Raby Bay Canal Estate. Expected start date: 28/04/2025 Expected finish date: 16/05/2025 This completion date may change over the course of the project due to wet weather and resultant poor site conditions.
- Dunwich - PDG-44874 - Barton Street, Dunwich – Culvert Renewal
- Benefits: To improve stormwater drainage, facilitate water flow and prevent further damage to driveways and the surrounding area. Description of Works: Redland City Council’s internal construction crews will be carrying out drainage repairs on Barton Street, Dunwich. The work will involve replacing a damaged culvert, installing driveway crossovers & reshaping the table drain. Timeline: Tuesday 29th April through to Friday 13th June 2025, 7.00am to 5.00pm. This completion date may change over the course of the project due to wet weather and resultant poor site conditions.
- Dunwich - PDG-30844 - Ron Stark Oval – Foreshore Stabilisation
- Redland City Council internal construction crews will be undertaking emergency foreshore stabilisation works in response to erosion caused by previous weather events The emergency foreshore stabilisation works will comprise of: • Installation of Geotextile Sand Container’s (GTS) to the foreshore; and • Redirection of the existing swale to reduce erosion. Timeline: Thursday 5th June through to Friday 20th June 2025, 7.00am to 5.00pm. This completion date may change over the course of the project due to wet weather and resultant poor site conditions.
- Macleay Island - PDG-44096 - Footpath Install - Brighton Road, Macleay Island
- Redland City Council's Internal Construction crews with assistance from contractors will be completing footpath upgrade works on Brighton Road, Macleay Island. Works will involve, but not limited to: • Construction of pathway and pram ramps. • Installation of kerb & channel. • Installation of a headwall & gully unit. • Installation of a block retaining wall. • Landscaping works. • Any other associated works to complete this project. Timeline: Tuesday 27th May 2025 through to Tuesday 30th September 2025, 7.00am to 5.00pm, Monday to Friday. - Mount Cotton - PDG-42750-1 - Valley Way Roundabout - Mount Cotton
- Redland City Council Contractors will be undertaking road resurfacing and associated works (Nightworks) at the Valley Way/ Village Drive Roundabout, Mount Cotton. Timeline: 25th May through to 6th June 2025, 7.00pm to 5.00am, Sunday to Thursday. Please note these works are being undertaken as NIGHT WORKS. This completion date may change over the course of the project due to wet weather and resultant poor site conditions.
- Point Lookout - PDG-46704-1 - Shelter Renewal – Cylinder Beach Foreshore
- Redland City Council Contractors will be undertaking the installation of a new shade shelter with custom laser cut coastal graphics, concrete slab, table setting, electric BBQ, the installation of turf to disturbed areas and associated works. These works also include the removal of existing poor conditioned slabs, table setting, BBQ. Expected Start Date - 23/07/2025 Expected Finish Date - 08/08/2025 (weather & site conditions permitting)
- Point Lookout - PDG-44219-2 - Electrical Upgrade – Cylinder Beach Foreshore
- Redland City Council contractors will be installing a weatherproof electrical power supply box/outlet distribution board with GPO outlets and smart meters for use by commercial operators, turf to disturbed areas and associated works. Expected Start Date - 14/07/2025 Expected Finish Date - 05/08/2025 (weather & site conditons permitting)
- Redland Bay - PDG-46600 - Weinam Creek PDA Stage 3F, Meissner St Southern Bus Stop.
- Redland City Council’s Internal Construction Crews will be undertaking works related to the Weinam Creek Development. As part of this project, Council will be constructing infrastructure within the Weinam Creek PDA Precinct. Works will involve, but not limited to: • Installation of a bus stop shelter. • Lower existing sewer manhole. • Installation of Linemarking & TGSI. • Placement of turf to disturbed areas. • Other associated works required to complete this project. Timeline: 23rd May 2025 through to 30th June 2025, 7.00am to 5.00pm, Monday to Friday. This completion date may change over the course of the project due to wet weather and resultant poor site conditions.
- Redland Bay - PDG-64201-1 - SPS112 Rising Main Renewal – Redland Bay
- Redland City Council Contractors will be constructing a new 795m long sewer rising main for Sewer Pump Station 112 which will replace the existing rising main, completing upgrades at Sewer Pump Station 112 and other associated works. Exepcted Start Date - 10/02/2025 Expected Finish Date - 18/07/2025 (weather & site conditions permitting)
- Redland Bay - PDG-44692 - The Esplanade, Redland Bay – Foreshore Stabilisation
- Redland City Council’s internal construction crews with assistance from contractors, will be undertaking emergency repairs on the revetment wall along the Esplanade, Redland Bay. The project will involve delivering and installing approximately 1,000 tonnes of rock over a 120-meter section of the foreshore, along with associated works. Timeline: Monday 9th June through to Friday 12th September 2025, 7.00am to 5.00pm. This completion date may change over the course of the project due to wet weather and resultant poor site conditions.
- Redland Bay - PDG-64111-1 - Switchboard Pump Stations – SPS 111 Christopher Street, Redland Bay
- Description of Works: Redland City Council Contractors will be completing the construction and installation of the SPS111 switchboard and associated works. Timeline: 26 May 2025 through to 08 August 2025, 7.00am to 5.00pm. This completion date may change over the course of the project due to wet weather and resultant poor site conditions.

- Description of Works: Redland City Council Contractors will be completing the construction and installation of the SPS138 switchboard and associated works. - Thornlands - PDG-44976-1 - Pinklands Sporting Complex, Netball Upgrade, Thornlands
- Redland City Council Contractors will be constructing new netball courts and goal posts, footpaths, softfall to playground area, shade sail, light pole, sandstone seating and associated landscaping & turf. Expected start date - 29 January 2025 Expected finish date - 11 July 2025 (Weather and site conditions permitting)
- Thornlands - PDG-64515-3 - Kinross Road Sewer Trunk Gravity Sewer Main
- Description of Works: Redland City Council Contractors will be designing and constructing a new sewer main including all live connections between the existing and new sewer. Decommissioning SPS147 and diverting sewage flows into the new gravity sewer main. Timeline: 2 May 2025 through to 17 December 2025, 7.00am to 6.00pm. This completion date may change over the course of the project due to wet weather and resultant poor site conditions. - Victoria Point - PDG-NA - Cleveland Redland Bay Rd, Victoria Point - Department of Transport and Main Roads (TMR)
- The Department of Transport and Main Roads (TMR) is undertaking a $110 million package of works to upgrade Cleveland-Redland Bay Road. Part of the project includes duplicating Cleveland-Redland Bay Road from Anita Street to Magnolia Parade. - Description of Works: Redland City Council Contractors will be completing the construction and installation of the SPS135 switchboard and associated works. - Victoria Point - PDG-64022-1 - Switchboard Pump Stations – SPS 022 Link Road, Victoria Point
- Description of Works: Redland City Council Contractors will be completing the construction and installation of the SPS022 switchboard and associated works. Timeline: 21 May 2025 through to 01 August 2025, 7.00am to 5.00pm. This completion date may change over the course of the project due to wet weather and resultant poor site conditions.
- Wellington Point - PDG-60008 - Living Shoreline - Three Paddocks Park
- Benefits: The benefits of this project will help reduce the ongoing impact of coastal erosion along the foreshore and maintaining the long-term integrity of the coastline and revegetation and mangrove trapping will support natural habitat regeneration. Description of Works: Construction Projects Unit will be undertaking works that will use a combination of nature-based solutions and engineered methods to minimise long-term coastal erosion to the foreshore of 318-324 Birkdale Road, Wellington Point. These works will include: • Revegetation of the area • Placement of logs to mitigate further foreshore erosion • Installation of Mangrove trapping devices • Any other associated works to complete this project. No works are planned within the creek and pedestrian access and pathways may be restricted at times. Timeline: Monday 30th June 2025 through to Thursday 31st July 2025, 7.00am to 5.00pm.
