Councillor Rowanne McKenzie was elected to Council in 2020.
Prior to this she owned and operated a small business on Redlands Coast for 13 years with her husband. Rowanne's personal experience in business is the driving force behind her support of economic development and employment opportunities. Rowanne has also worked as a Finance Officer within Queensland Health.
Having a passion to build and strengthen community connections, Rowanne is actively involved in supporting our local organisations. She has sponsored and supported many fundraisers, events, sporting and community groups across the Redlands Coast, and is a patron of the Capalaba Warriors Rugby League Football Club.
Rowanne is committed to expanding her leadership capabilities and personal growth, having completed the Women Leading in Local Government program and participated in Leadership Development with CPEM Consulting Group. She is currently undertaking training to become a JP (Qual) and Company Director.
With three children in local schools, Rowanne is dedicated to ensuring Redlands Coast is a place for families and young people to live, work and play and encourages all residents to actively participate in achieving the best outcomes for the city.
