The story
The Redland Youth Plaza opened in December 2007 to the appreciation of thousands of young people and the local community.
After many stages of collaborative consultation, planning and development spanning three years, young people and the local community received a world-class skate and BMX facility with an integrated youth space.
The plaza is responsive to local needs and continues to represent best practice internationally.
We have published The Redland Youth Plaza Story to:
- celebrate the plaza and the benefits it provides for young people and the community
- encourage greater dialogue about young people’s engagement with and experiences of public spaces
- thank all the wonderful people who helped make the Redland Youth Plaza possible.
