Redlands Coast says HALT to domestic and family violence
Dîner en Rouge Goes Pink! in partnership with Small Steps 4 Hannah Foundation was held on Saturday 27 May 2023.
Redland City Council was proud to again work with Zonta Clubs, Soroptimist International Bayside, Rotary Club of Cleveland, Redland Foundation and local domestic and family violence service advocates on this year’s Dîner en Rouge, which will GO PINK!
This year the event partnered with Small Steps 4 Hannah Foundation to support a new domestic violence awareness and education program. The Redlands Coast says HALT program will be delivered across local secondary schools to foster positive behavioural change and promote healthy and respectful relationships to ensure as a community we put a HALT to domestic and family violence.
Since Dîner en Rouge began seven years ago, more than $440,000 has been raised for local domestic and family violence services, thanks to the generosity of guests at the event, benefactors, sponsors, event partners, and everyone who has supported the initiative.
Funds raised through sponsorship and attendance at Dîner en Rouge events have facilitated a range of projects, such as furnishing houses for families requiring safe accommodation, constructing a playground for children in an emergency shelter, and funding programs through Community Support Services for women and children in emergency situations.
These are just a few of the outcomes achieved through the generosity of event supporters.
