Many of Council's venues have reopened under the Queensland Government's road map to easing restrictions. To help keep these venues safe for the community, social distancing measures are in place, cleaning has been increased and sanitiser is available for visitors to use.
Some other Council services remain temporarily closed. Conditions will be relaxed further when Queensland reaches Stage 3 in the easing of restrictions roadmap.
Current temporary closures
Public attendance at General Council Meetings - Redland City Council General Meetings are closed to the public until further notice, with no Public Participation sessions possible at this time. Members of the media reporting on Council’s General Meetings are permitted, as in such cases the venue is considered to be their workplace. General Meetings will continue to be recorded and available on Council’s website.

Customer Service Centres - Open. Council's Customer Contact Centre is open for all phone enquiries on 3829 8999. Opening hours for telephone enquiries are Monday to Friday, 8.00am to 5.00pm - excluding public holidays. Find more about our customer contact centres.
Redland Libraries - Open. Social distancing requirements must be maintained with an average four square metres per person for both mainland and island libraries. The mobile library is also visiting its scheduled stops with social distancing in place (please link to the mobile library webpage). Amity Point Library will reopen at a later date. Public computers and printing is now available however time limits are in place of 30 minutes per client per day. Online services will continue to operate as normal. Redland Art Gallery (RAG) - Both the Cleveland and Capalaba art galleries are open (Capalaba library employees will regulate entry through to the Capalaba gallery). Social distancing must be maintained with an average of four square metres per person and a maximum of 20 people at a time allowed at the Cleveland gallery. While you can now view exhibitions at the galleries in person, children’s art and craft activities are still available online. IndigiScapes - Open. The Discovery Centre, gift shop, nursery and café have all reopened, with the flow of visitors being regulated to ensure compliance with social distancing rules.
- Centre opening (including gift shop) hours: 10am – 4pm daily
- Nursery opening hours: 10am – 3pm weekdays
- Café opening hours: three set seating times with modified menu for dining in (bookings essential, limited take-away options will be available). Phone 3824 8611 for café bookings.

Redlands Coast Visitor Information Centre - Open 9am-4pm daily (Monday-Sunday). A visitor hotline and website is available for those unable to physically access the centre – phone 1300 667 386 or https://www.visitredlandscoast.com.au/discover/visitor-information-centre. Recycling and Waste Centres - Birkdale Recycling and Waste Centre (waste transfer station) is temporarily closed until mid-August for essential site upgrades and maintenance (non-COVID related). Redland Bay Recycling & Waste Centre is open for residents waste disposal needs. . Commercial and non-residents please note no cash payments are currently accepted at Recycling and Waste Centres.
