Macleay Island Canoe Race

Venue: Tingira Boat Club, 91 Coast Rd, Macleay Island
Paddlers starting at the Tingira Boat Club, will circumnavigate the Island returning to the Boat Club, a journey of about 15km. A second event is the relay race where teams of six paddlers compete against each other to be first around the Island. This allows those with lesser skills to compete. A fun event off the beach will also be organised designed for anyone to join in and be part of the day. All paddlers will have to wear a lifejacket and be attached to the craft by leg leash and must carry a minimum of 2L of fluid. Mobile phones in watertight containers are recommended. The event is organised by the Tingira Boat Club Inc.
