Chicks Chat - a mother & daughter project
We are a group of concerned mums and daughters who are working on a mother/daughter project – Chicks Chat to have an event for a community mother daughter slumber party – girls to be aged 12-16 age bracket.
Our dream is for this concept to raise awareness in the community to the importance of cherishing the fragile mother/daughter relationship and to acknowledge and enhance the importance of providing a safe environment for our girls to grow to become self confident, assured women of the world who will make the ‘right’ choices during their teenage years and create a transformation in the community’s culture that violence and disregard for theirs and others safety is not acceptable. All in the context of sharing and having some great fun. Mothers and Daughters having fun is all about reconnecting and sharing a great experience together. This event is supported by the Matthew Stanley Foundation and other concerned local businesses. $5 per person with dinner, activities and breakfast provided. limited numbers, so call now to register.
6pm - 8.30am at Redlands Christian Reformed Church, Cnr Sturgeon & Delancey Sts Ormiston. More info ph Lynne Rice on 0438 411 551, chickschat@bigpond.com.

Redland’s annual phone-in Koala Survey is on again this month. On 24 and 25 October, please search your backyard and neighbourhood trees for koalas.
