Broken Links the Stolen Generations in Queensland Exhibition
Capalaba Library from 22 June – 15 July 2009
This exhibition marks the passing of a decade since the publication of Bringing them home, the Report of Human Rights and Equal Opportunity Commission’s National Inquiry into the Separation of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children from Their Families.
The exhibition includes five personal stories of Aboriginal people who were removed from their families between 1930 and 1973.

Tighe Cams Hillclimb Series Round 3
This is a motorsport event held at the MG Car Club of Qld's Mt Cotton circuit, Gramzow Rd, Mt Cotton. Six rounds of the series are held at Mt Cotton throughout the year.
It is all free for spectators. Donation boxes are available for those who would like to contribute to the upkeep of the facility. Action starts at 8.30am and finishes at about 4pm.

Scottish Sunday at Whepstead
The Redland Scottish and Celtic Society Inc is hosting a celebration of Tartan Day and Scottish Culture featuring Pipe Bands, Highland Dancers, Scottish and Gaelic Singers, and a variety of other entertainers. This is an opportunity for people to come along and enjoy the hillclimb venue at Gramzow Rd, Mt Cotton at their leisure. Visitors are invited to walk the track to discover the full nature of it.

Precious Premmies Lunch helps Mater Mother's Hospital
Miracle babies inspire local mums to pay it forward. Inspired by the fighting spirit of their own baby’s battle to be in this world, Jane Sadler, Mala Chong Wah, Anne-Marie Innes, Serena Brook and Shannon McVey are organising the third annual Precious Premmies Lunch. Funds raised will go towards the purchase of laryngeal masks, which is among the most needed items for the Mater Mother’s Hospital. Motivated by their personal experiences the women have joined forces to give something back to the hospital and to future mums and dads and their babies. Food and wine will be provided and prizes can be won on the day.

Song Trails - A Little Bit Country and A Little Bit Rock-N-Roll

Aspiring Redlands songwriters can create new music with four of Australia’s finest contemporary singer-songwriters. Come along to a free masterclass at the Redland Performing Arts Centre (RPAC) in Cleveland on July 27 to write new songs reflecting Redlands and its future as part of the Redland City Council's creative approach to community planning. Your song may be performed at the launch of the Redlands 2030 Community Plan at RPAC in September. Song Trails brings to Cleveland the talents of Melinda Schneider, Mark Gable (the Choir Boys), Eric McCusker (Mondo Rock), and Leah Flanagan. Composer Bernard Houston will apply his creative skills to the task, coordinating a workshop to extend the Cleveland leg of Song Trails to a day-long creative workshop. Places are limited.
