Redlands Rotary Art Union Draw

The Mayor of Redland City, Cr. Melva Hobson PSM, will draw the winning numbers in the Rotary Club of Redland Sunrise third annual 'Community Benefit' Art Union at a meeting at the Redlands Sporting Club on 1st April 2009. Tickets are only $2 and are on sale until the middle of March 2009. First prize is a $4,000 travel voucher through our major sponsor Jetset Travel, Cleveland.

Youth Homelessness Matters Day is a national campaign which aims to raise public awareness of youth homelessness. Scout Firewood Fundraising Sale

Capalaba Scouts are selling firewood for your Easter festivities and beyond. By buying your firewood from the scouts you'll be helping to send 25 Scouts to the next Australian Jamboree in January 2010 in NSW. Firewood will be on sale  from 7am. Prices start from $60 per flat 6x4 trailer load and will be adjusted accordingly on site to suit what ever method people choose to come and get the wood in. Redlands Easter Family Festival

This free event for the whole family is hosted by the local Churches of Redland City. The festival has been running for 10 years and has the support of all three levels of government. 

The program offers rides, face painting and BMX stunt performances throughout this fun-filled day. There will be community interest groups for you to connect with, such as 4x4, fishing, craft work and more. Lots of food and drinks available. You will also find live performances by local and TV celebrities, plus entertainment for the whole family. The event culminates with a fireworks extravaganza featuring the 'Greatest Love Story' ever told. 

This annual one-day festival promotes the message of Easter and offers hope and transformation to all who hear it. We look forward to sharing this special day on the Redland City calendar with you!

ANZAC Day Commemorations

The Redland City ANZAC Day commemorations commence with two Dawn services; and a main march and day service in Cleveland. The Dawn Services are being held in Cleveland and Redland Bay. A gold coin donation for tea & coffee will see all monies raised going to The Everyman's welfare service; which looks after our troops currently on deployment overseas.

Both Dawn services commence at 5.20am with the veterans marching to the cenotaph's where the actual service commences at 5.30am Cenotaph is located in Neville Stafford Park Banana St. Redland Bay.

The Cleveland Service is located in ANZAC Memorial Park Cnr Passage & North & Shore Street East at Cleveland. There will be after service tea & coffee available either in the Redland Bay Community Centre or at Redlands RSL. The Main Redland City ANZAC Day March commences at cnr of Middle St and Island St, Cleveland outside the Cleveland Bowls at approx 10.30am and will proceed to the Cenotaph for the a short service.
