Wastewater
Council is responsible for collecting, treating and disposing of wastewater (sewerage) produced in the Redlands.
Wastewater is treated at one of seven plants located at Capalaba, Cleveland, Thorneside, Victoria Point, Mount Cotton, Dunwich and Point Lookout.

- Building over sewers and development near underground infrastructure
An application may be required to build over or within 1.5 metres of a sewer main (excludes connection point or maintenance hole) or other Council underground infrastructure.
- Recycled water for industry
Redland City Council is expanding its recycling water filling service to commercial water carriers.
- Greywater use
Greywater is wastewater coming for the bath, shower, bathroom sink and laundry. We now accept application for greywater use facilities for garden irrigation.
