Public swimming pools
The public pools in the Redlands offer a great range of activities like learn to swim classes (for people of any age), squad training and aqua areobics classes. They're also a great place to beat the heat!
Russell Island pool
The Russell Island pool (cnr High St and Borrows St, Russell Island), now solar heated to 27C, will be open from 6am to 6pm weekdays and 9am to 6pm on weekends during the school holidays. Term time hours will differ.

The centre has:
- one heated 50 metres, eight lanes
- one heated 25 metres, six lanes
- one indoor heated 20 metres, three lanes
- a children’s adventure pool.

Effective 1st October
Monday to Friday: 5am to 8pm
Saturday: 6am to 6pm
Sunday: 9am to 4pm

Effective 10th April
Monday to Thursday: 5am - 7.30pm
Friday: 5am - 7pm

Pools and public pools
Council tests the water quality of all public pools monthly. We also check for cleanliness, gates, fences, pool safety signs and log books.
