Internet and computer services
Computer work stations are available at Cleveland, Capalaba, Victoria Point, Russell Island, Point Lookout and Dunwich libraries during normal library hours.
Self service bookings can be made at Cleveland, Capalaba and Victoria Point Libraries.
All computers offer:
- Internet access
- Excel
- Word
- PowerPoint
- Publisher
- Printing: Black and white 20c/page ; Colour $2/page
Training classes
The Library Service offers library members free hands-on computer training classes in a relaxed environment.
The classes cater for different skill levels and include:

- Going Further ….. Internet
- Getting Started … E-mail
- Getting Started … Online Databases
- Using the catalogue, Red-e-cat
Classes are held regularly at Capalaba, Cleveland and Victoria Point libraries. Check the What's on at your library pages for more details. Bookings are essential and can be made in person or over the telephone.

Adults with special needs
Home Library Service
This service provides resources for people who are unable to leave their homes due to illness or disability or for full time carers.
Nursing Home residents
Resources can be supplied to nursing homes as bulk loans or as a home library service on an individual basis.
People who are Visually Impaired
Clients who have a visual impairment can request assistance in selecting resources.
Languages other than English (LOTE)
The libraries have a range of LOTE resources for adults and children provided by the Queensland State Library.

Reading Development/Literacy resources
The libraries provide a range of literacy resources for:
- Improving reading, writing, spelling and numeracy skills;

The Reading Development collection is suitable for students and tutors. It consists of easy to read books, talking books and word games.
