Seniors

Our goal for all our seniors is to age well.

Like everywhere else, our population is ageing. By 2016, a third of Redland’s population will be aged 55 years and over.

Redland City Council values our seniors and is working towards building a community with supportive facilities, services and attitudes. We want seniors to be active in their local neighbourhoods and encourage them to participate at a level of their choosing.

Our vision is age-friendly communities strengthened by the contribution of seniors. To find out how we are going to achieve this vision, take a look at Ageing Well in the Redlands - a ten-year strategy PDF [PDF 2.8MB]

Ageing well means practising healthy choices to create a balanced lifestyle. Council encourages seniors to explore, experience and know everything about living in the Redlands. If you’re not sure where to find what you’re looking for, take a look at the Redland Seniors Directory PDF [PDF 3.2MB]
