Redlands transport groups

A high priority action of the Transport 2016 document was to create two groups to steer and oversee the plan's implementation.
Redlands Transport Implementation Group
The Redlands Transport Implementation Group (RTIG) is the main steering group overseeing the implementation of the actions within Transport 2016.
Issues for further discussion and investigation are passed on to the Redlands Transport Working Group.
The RTIG is chaired by the Mayor.
Other representatives include:
- higher level Council officers
- state agencies (Main Roads, Queensland Transport and TransLink)
- local transport related interest groups
- local public transport operators
- both adjoining local Councils (Brisbane and Logan).
Redlands Transport Working Group
Redlands Transport Working Group (RTWG) members are responsible for working through various aspects of Transport 2016's implementation, as well as providing technical advice and recommendations to the members of the RTIG.
RTWG is made up of both Council officers and relevant State Government representatives.
The working group has succeeded to date with a number of successful collaborative projects completed such as:
- TravelSmart (suburb, schools, and workplace programs)
- Public Transport Network Plan for Redland and Eastern Corridor
- Redlands High Occupancy Vehicle Lane Implementation Study.
