Providing transport and waterways infrastrucure are essential services, and therefore a strategic priority of Council.

Key objectives of the Corporate Plan 2006-2010 are to:

• Support the provision of efficient movement of both people and goods
• Support, advocate, provide and maintain marine facilities that allow access to transportation.

  This 15-year strategy will develop sustainable transport systems in the Redlands.
• Cycling & Pedestrian Strategy
  This strategy sets a direction for the future planning of both cycling and walking activity in the Redlands from recreational and transport perspectives.
• Redlands Bicycle Advisory Committee
  Formed in January 2000, this committee advises Council and helps develop strategies for cycling in the Redlands.
• Redlands Transport Groups
  A high priority action of the Transport 2016 document was to create two groups to steer and oversee the plan's implementations.

• Transport Infrastructure Charge
  The Transport Infrastructure Charges Policy will assist Council to integrate land use planning and infrastructure planning within Integrated Planning Act schedules.
• Stormwater Infrastructure Charge

• Point Lookout Movement Study
  Expected outcome of this study includes a report with a list of potential broad strategies to assist in addressing local concerns over management of vehicle and pedestrian movement in the Point Lookout Area.
