Redlands Wildlife Photographic Competition
Capture Redlands wildlife on camera and enter the Redlands Wildlife Photographic Competition to win great cash prizes. The best photographs from each category will win $100; $200 will go to the best junior photograph and best overall photo will win $500.
Entries close Monday 30 November.
Photos will be judged Friday 4 December and exhibited at IndigiScapes from 1 to 18 December.

Summer holiday activities
Bookings open Monday!
On Monday 30 November, bookings will be open for Council’s popular school holiday activity program for 4 – 18 year olds. The program runs from 12 December to 21 January with free or low-cost activities including archery, surf awareness, laser skirmish, and arts and crafts.
Forms and activity brochures are available from 30 November on the website. Places are limited so book early!
Waste and recycling bin audit
Council is currently conducting a bin presentation audit of all domestic waste and recycling bins in Redland City. If you have additional waste or recycling bins with a Council logo and you are not paying for the service please contact Council 1300 362 036.
Council’s collection service is not for private bins. If you have a bin that has been purchased elsewhere please do not put it out for collection.
Eprapah Catchment Crawl
Free educational tour
Immerse yourself in your local waterway. Book in for our free bus tour and find out more about Eprapah Creek, a precious local asset rich in cultural and natural heritage.

New Conservation Land Management Strategy

2010 Australia Day Awards
Redland City Council is once again calling for nominations for the annual Australia Day Awards. These awards recognise high achieving members of our community who have made outstanding contributions in 2009.

Have your say on rates and charges
Council is hosting an informal information session next week to encourage residents to learn more about their rates and charges and have their say.

Seniors - are you ready for an emergency?
Disasters can strike at any time, so for peace of mind, come along to the Emergency Household Preparedness Day for Seniors.

Trial dog off-leash area
Manning Esplanade, Thornlands
A dog trial area will be fully operational with fencing, signage, bin and a dog bag dispenser from 16 November 2009 to 15 February 2010 on the Manning Esplanade in Thornlands. Council is seeking feedback on the trial.
