New bin options

Council has introduced some great new bin options in the Redlands.

New green waste bin available for mainland residents for less than $1 per week!

The new green waste service:  

• will be collected fortnightly, on the alternate week to the recycling bin

• is a great alternative for residents who may not have the time or ability to compost at home

• can collect prunings, grass clippings, shrubs, leaves and weeds

• is great for the environment by reducing landfill

• will take collected green waste to a composting facility

• has no bin establishment fee for those who register before 30 June 2012!

• is not available at this stage for island residents as green waste is still free for residents to take to the Waste Transfer Stations on the islands.

 

New larger 340L recycle bin!

Capture all those extra recyclables for FREE* with the new larger 340L recycle bin. Council’s new 340L recycle bins:

• are great during holiday season when you might have additional recyclables
• aim to increase recycling and reduce the waste sent to landfill
• have been designed for easy use
• is FREE for mainland residents who order prior to 30 June 2012

Please note:  if you change your mind and decide to exchange your bin back to the original size after the bins have been delivered, you will incur a $60 bin establishment fee (as per Council's Fees and Charges)
