Council's RedWaste unit operates landfills, Waste Transfer stations and waste, recycling and green waste collection systems so waste does not become an environmental or health problem.
Our mission is to reduce waste and increase resource recovery from 32 per cent to 65 per cent by 2020 as per the Council’s recently adopted Sustainable Resources from Waste Plan 2010-2020 – the city’s new 10-year waste management strategy.
