ClimateSmart Home Service
Find out how much power you are using at home with the Queensland Government ClimateSmart Home Service. The service takes less than an hour and you can book an appointment at a time that suits you, Monday to Saturday between 7am to 7pm.
The service involves a licensed electrician visiting homes and performing an energy efficiency service. This includes:
- Household power assessment by a licensed electrician
- Installation of a wireless power monitor, for you to keep
- Up to 15 free power saving light globes (CFLs), supplied and installed
- Free water and energy efficient showerhead, supplied and installed
- A customised Energy and Water Efficiency Plan sent to you
- Access to My Climatesmart Home, a customised online resource for more energy and water savings
Redland residents pay just $50 for this service. By using this service, you can save up to $325 a year in energy and water bills, and a total of up to 20.4 tonnes of greenhouse gas emissions.
