​Water pollution

Preventing or reducing water pollution protects our water quality and is essential to maintaining the health of our environment and our own quality of life.

 

Council only has jurisdiction to act on certain complaints, and shares the responsibility of water pollution issues with other government bodies. Refer to Toolbox to learn more about water pollution.

 

Trade waste is liquid waste from businesses such as restaurants, service stations, spray painters, car washing, photo developing, butchers, commercial laundries, cafes and shopping centres. Learn more about trade waste.
