State of the Environment Report
The State of the Environment Report (SOE) has been undertaken by Redland City Council as part of our commitment under the Corporate Plan 2006-2010 and is based on key environmental themes in the region including atmosphere, biodiversity, land, waterways, human settlements, and cultural heritage. These themes are examined using 59 environmental indicators.
The State of the Environment Report presents the benchmark results collected for these indicators and allows environmental performance to be monitored and reported upon.

Future reporting
This is the first report of an on-going environmental performance reporting program at Council. Future State of the Environment Reports will be prepared and presented to the community every four years. In between that time, Report Cards that highlight the trends and environmental performance of Council and the community will be presented every two years.
