Pest Management Plan
The Pest Management Plan provides clear guidelines on how Council manages pests (introduced plants and animals) in the city. It is reviewed under the Land Protection (Pest and Stock Routh Management) Act 1994.
Background
Council adopted the Pest Management Plan 2006-2010 on 29 March 2006 after endorsement from the Queensland government. Working groups incorporating a wide cross-section of stakeholders were established to provide advice. Local and regional working groups contributed simultaneously to the development of this plan. A number of public submissions were received from 23 May to 20 June 2006.
