Non-declared plants and animals
According to the Redland City Council's Pest Management Plan, an environmental pest is a plant or animal not declared under the Rural Land Protection Act or Local Law No. 13 (Control of Pests).
However, due to its impact on the environment (in particular bushland or native fauna) it's considered a pest.
Our nature conservation program controls or eradicates pests where found on Council conservation land and raises public awareness of environmental problems caused by these pests.
