The Master Plan for John Fredericks Park in Capalaba was adopted by Redland Shire Council at the General Meeting on 29 November 2006.

The plan proposes developments over the next 10 years that will meet the needs of sporting users for a venue that allow their activity to grow within the site's physical constraints. The site will also be more user friendly and enticing to local residents to use for walking, cycling and passive recreation opportunities.
