Cleveland Point Reserve

Council adopted the amended landscape master plan for Cleveland Point Reserve on 26 April 2006. The amended plan is a result of community comment received on the draft plan during the public display period, 11 July to 5 August 2005.

There were 165 submissions from the community with the majority of respondents wanting to keep the ring road but also to have some improvements done to the reserve.

Key features of the amended plan:

• New picnic shelters, improved play area and perimeter pathway with seating areas 
• Raised pedestrian crossings to foreshore area from central park area 
• Ring road retained with areas of foreshore parking 
• Refurbishment of main pavilion 
• Access to boat ramp maintained 
• Viewing platforms with interpretative signage 
• Coach parking area 
• More shade trees 
• Formalised parking areas

The master plan provides Council with a blueprint for upgrading the reserve over the next 10 years. It is possible that these works will be staged over several years.
