Annual Report 2006 - 07

The Annual Report 2006-07  [PDF 5MB] is a key mechanism for reporting how we delivered on our strategic priorities and objectives set out in the Corporate Plan 2006–2010.

The report provides a complete and accurate record of our performance for the past financial year. Council has again performed strongly in all areas, with an outstanding closing financial position for the year. 

The 2006-07 year will be remembered as one in which two major announcements impacted on our forward planning: 

• the Local Government Reform Commission report. Redland Shire Council boundaries remain unaltered but its name would be changed to Redland City Council in March 2008.
• urban bulk water supply arrangements for south-east Queensland. Redland Shire's bulk water assets to be taken over by the state government within one to two years.
