Graffiti management
Report graffiti online
The most effective way to manage graffiti is to remove it as quickly as possible, preferably within 24 hours. Rapid removal limits the admiration a vandal receives from their peers, which is often their primary motive. It also reduces the likelihood that the area will attract further vandalism.

Private property
Recently Redland City Council revised its graffiti removal policy to include some private property graffiti removal.
On a trial basis, Council will remove publically viewable graffiti from private property if it is requested by the owner or the public and where the graffiti is located:
- on publicly accessible surfaces that face main roads and/or
- fence lines that adjoin regional or district parks
If you are reporting graffiti that doesn’t fall within these guidelines, then the removal of this graffiti is the responsibility of the property land owner. Any removal requests for these private properties will not be actioned, however the information will be kept on record to assist authorities in identifying serial offenders.
