Every year, the Redland City Council awards grants to individuals and community groups. Grants and Sponsorship are offered across the arts, cultural heritage, environment, community development, enterprise development and sport and recreation.
Did you know that in 2010/2011, Council proudly contributed almost $700,000 to over 50 community groups to help improve our community?

Round 2 Successful Recipients Approved
Anti-bullying, koalas and marine rescue themes highlight diversity of Community Grants Program funding and Redland artists receive 'dramatic' boost of funds.
Council approved funding of $261,980 for 46 applications under Round 2 of the Community Grants Program for the categories Organisation Support, Project Support, Conservation Grants and under the Regional Arts Development Fund.

The next funding opportunity will be Round 1 of 2012/13 which invites applications under the Organisation Support, Project Support, Conservation Grants, Capital Infrastructure and Regional Arts Development Fund categories. Submissions open on 23 July 2012 and close on 31 August 2012.
Free Grant Application Writing Workshops will be held between 19 July 2012 and 2 August 2012. Individuals and organisations who wish to apply for funding in Round 1 2012/13 are encouraged to attend the workshops. These workshops provide tips to applicants on how to write an application. Bookings are essential. Contact the Grants Team on 3829 8911 to register.

Council hosts GrantReady workshops
Redland City Council is hosting two free GrantReady workshops that are designed to help local organisations to find, qualify and win grants from sources other than Council.
The workshops, sponsored by Bendigo Bank Victoria Point branch, will be held on 17 May 2012 at 1.00pm and 5.30pm and are open to all Redland organisations.

PLEASE NOTE: These workshops are in addition to the free grant application writing workshops conducted by Council to assist applicants to apply under the Community Grants Program and the Regional Arts Development Fund.
Grants newsletter
Our Grants newsletter is distributed before the opening of each round to provide you with information on the opening of the round, the categories available to seek funding from, the dates and times of the grant application writing workshops and any other important information.
We also distribute emails at least once a month keeping you updated of any changes to the Grants and Sponsorship Program and other funding opportunities that become available.

Types of funding available
Funding is available in the following categories:
- Community Grants
Support for community organisations in categories such as Organisation Support, Project Support, Conservation Grants and Capital Infrastructure.
- Mayor’s Small Grants
Offering assistance to groups requiring a small amount of funding for things like unexpected costs. To support individuals for achieving high-level excellence.
- Regional Arts Development Fund (RADF)
Support for emerging artists to further develop skills and profile in the Redlands. Funding is in partnership with Arts Queensland.
- Sponsorship
Financial contribution or value in-kind to support an event, project, service or activity, providing tangible and measurable commercial benefits to Council and the community.
