SMBI Communities Advisory Committee

The last formal meeting of the Southern Moreton Bay Islands Communities Advisory Committee (SMBICAC) was held on 5 July 2011. The meeting was the culmination of two years work with the public release of the SMBI PLUS Review and SMBI 2030.

Background
The ten Southern Moreton Bay Islands residents with a broad range of skills and experience was appointed to the SMBICAC in April 2009. The confirmed community representatives on the committee are (in alphabetical order):

Strategic framework
As part of its long term commitment to finding solutions to issues on the Southern Moreton Bay Islands (SMBI), Redland City Council has endorsed a strategic framework involving new approaches to communication, community engagement and planning for the islands.
