Get back to nature at the Redlands IndigiScapes Centre at Capalaba
So many hidden secrets
Capalaba is the Redland’s major business and retail centre with many hidden secrets. It is home to a host of recreational, cultural and community facilities including one of the biggest skate and BMX facilities in south-east Queensland, just near the City's bus interchange.
The Capalaba Regional Park is a sprawling 14 hectares with walking and cycling circuits and large open areas for the kids to run free – this is a great place for a picnic or barbecue lunch while the kids feed the ducks or play on the flying fox, timber fort and embankment slide.
Just up the road is the Redlands IndigiScapes Centre
and Visitor Information Centre. If you love the Australian bush, make sure you visit this environmental facility dedicated to local native plants and wildlife. Wander through the tranquil gardens, explore the maze and maybe even spot one of the resident koalas. There's also scrumptious food inspired by bush tucker flavours at the open-air Tea Garden Cafe, surrounded by natural bushland.
