Sand bags
Redland City SES now have stocks of sand bags. The public is welcome to collect bags from Wellington St, Cleveland and also assist with packing sand bags.
Be careful on the roads:
- Stay out of the water – don’t attempt to drive through flooded roads
- Say well clear of flooded creeks and drainage channels. These can be fast flowing and are very dangerous – flooded parkland may contain concealed items which cannot be seen through the water.
- Drive carefully – the road conditions can be unpredictable, eg water inundation, concealed pot holes, etc
- Contact the SES on 132500 if you need assistance with significant water damage or fallen trees at home
