The Community Plan and Corporate Plan
Redlands 2030 Community Plan
Our Community Plan,
Redlands 2030 [PDF 5.8MB], was adopted in April 2010.
The Corporate Plan 2010-2015 followed, adopted by council in May, 2010.
Redlands 2030 is our community’s long-term plan for creating a better future, forged from thousands of contributions of local residents, businesses and organisations. It expresses shared visions and values that will drive civic planning in the Redlands over the next 20 years.
More than any other planning instrument, this ‘people’s plan’ guides the decisions and actions of Council and will inform ongoing reviews of strategies and services.
Corporate Plan
The corporate plan’s structure, its underlying values and overarching mission of sustainability (of our diverse places and strong communities) mirror exactly those of the community plan.
In the next five years, council will plan and deliver services and manage community assets according to the priorities outlined in the two plans. These include:
- leadership on climate change, renewable energy and greenhouse gas emissions
- participating in the population growth debate at a national, state and regional level
- robust financial management practices
- ensuring protection and enhancement of natural and built heritage and unique characteristics that make Redlands special
- maintaining and improving core services such as parks, libraries and transport infrastructure
- supporting and facilitating sustainable economic development to benefit the local community.
