Local government cannot meet all community demands without government and private sector support and investment to help deliver priority projects. These partnerships and alliances are vital.
The current economic environment also provides a number of challenges for Council and the community.
In these circumstances, it is important for the Redlands to advocate for the priorities detailed in the document. They are all intrinsically linked to the Redlands 2030 Community Plan, the community’s long term plan for creating a better future.
They require financial commitments from the State government or a combination of Federal/State/Council funding to enable their delivery. Coordinated efforts at all levels are needed if we are to realise the visions outlined in our Community Plan and create a stronger and more sustainable Redlands to 2030 and beyond.
Council welcomes opportunities for genuine state government partnerships to help meet these future needs and aspirations of the Redlands community.
